Dimitri From Paris

Born in Istanbul in 1963 and settled at a very young age in the Paris region, Dimitri from Paris began his DJ activity in the early 1980s on French radio stations before establishing himself on the club scene. Associated with the French house wave of the 1990s, he refined a style in which house blends with disco, funk and soul, marked by a taste for cinematic arrangements and references to 1970s pop. His first studio album, Sacrebleu, released in 1996 on Yellow Productions, laid the foundations of an aesthetic combining lounge influences, film soundtracks and dancefloor culture. He followed with compilations and mix albums, including A Night at the Playboy Mansion (2000), which continued his curatorial work around disco, vocal house and funk classics. In 2004, Cruising Attitude confirmed this direction toward mid‑tempo house with soul and Latin jazz shades. At the same time, he produced numerous remixes and disco edits and collaborated with labels dedicated to club culture, while maintaining a regular DJ presence on European and international stages.
