Chippy Nonstop

Under the name Chippy Nonstop, Chhavi Nanda has developed since the early 2010s a trajectory that links several geographies — the United Arab Emirates, Zambia, Canada and the United States — within a family of Indian origin. After a period living in Toronto, Chippy Nonstop works as a DJ, producer, rapper, singer and organizer, with a practice rooted in queer club and rave cultures. Her sound mixes ghetto house, techno, acid, electroclash, booty bass and club pop in fast, upfront and deliberately hybrid formats. First noticed for her mixtapes, tracks and parties, Chippy Nonstop has circulated between North American and European scenes, appearing at SXSW, Panorama Bar, Boiler Room, Mixmag Lab and HÖR Berlin, and delivering an Essential Mix broadcast on BBC Radio 1 in 2023. Alongside her productions and sets, she is the founder of Intersessions, a training platform designed to make DJ and production practices more accessible, and she hosts Pep Rally, a series of parties connected to her work on the dancefloor and beyond the club.
