With the A Matter Of Time Tour, Laufey brings her blend of jazz vocals, pop and chamber-music hues to Berlin: on 24 February 2026 at the Velodrom. Born in Reykjavik and raised in an Icelandic-Chinese family, she moved early between Iceland and the United States and studied at the Berklee College of Music. On stage her voice is central, supported by piano, cello and spare arrangements. Since the first single success “Street by Street” and the EP Typical of Me, she has developed songs that combine influences from standards and bossa nova with contemporary songwriting. The albums Everything I Know About Love and Bewitched deepen this direction; the live album A Night at the Symphony with the Icelandic Symphony Orchestra expands the sound toward orchestral textures. At the Velodrom, Laufey will perform current tracks and well-known pieces in a setting that puts the melodies clearly to the fore and leaves room for delicate dynamic nuances.
