Thundermother
Formed in Växjö, Sweden around guitarist Filippa Nässil in 2009, Thundermother evolves in a straightforward hard rock, rooted in dry riffs, boogie rock and the energy of 1970s and 1980s Australian rock. The band first drew attention with Rock’n’Roll Disaster in 2014 and then Road Fever in 2015, two records with a raw sound and strongly marked by the genre's classic codes. Despite several lineup changes, Filippa Nässil remained the core of the project and relaunched Thundermother twice, in 2017 and again in 2023, accompanying a new phase in its history. The current lineup teams Nässil with Linnéa Vikström on vocals, Majsan Lindberg on bass, and Joan Massing on drums. In the studio, Thundermother continued its journey with Thundermother in 2018, Heat Wave in 2020, Black and Gold in 2022 and Dirty and Divine in 2025, maintaining a writing centered on short choruses, nerve-wracking guitars, and frontal vocals. Thundermother also built its trajectory live, with appearances at European festivals such as Sweden Rock, Nova Rock, Copenhell or Summer Breeze, as well as tours alongside D-A-D, Backyard Babies and Scorpions, in a register faithful to unflinching hard rock.
