Adriatique

Formed in Zurich, the Swiss duo Adriatique brings together DJs and producers Adrian Shala and Adrian Schweizer, active together on the European electronic scene since 2008. Positioned between melodic deep house, techno, and progressive influences, the project develops a sound built on moderate tempos, repetitive synth lines, and a strong focus on atmosphere, conceived as much for the club as for extended listening. After early EPs released notably on Diynamic Music and other labels close to the house and techno sphere, Adriatique came into its own over the 2010s, lining up dates across Europe and internationally while maintaining a regular foothold in Zurich around the Hive club. In 2017, the duo launched Siamese, both a label and a series of parties, providing a framework for their own productions and for invited artists within a melodic electronic aesthetic. The album Nude, released in 2018 on Afterlife, synthesizes this approach by blending techno structures, house heritage, and a more narrative writing style, carried forward in DJ sets where the duo favors elongated transitions and immersive moods.
