Yeat

Born Noah Olivier Smith in 2000 in Irvine, California, and raised in the Portland area, Yeat began releasing music in 2015 and developed a heavily processed melodic rap at the intersection of trap, rage and cloud rap. After several tracks put online, he consolidated his discography in 2021 with Alivë, 4L, Trëndi and Up 2 Më — a period when his compact writing, use of onomatopoeia and thick‑bass productions drew growing attention, notably with “Gët Busy.” He followed with 2 Alivë in 2022 and the EP Lyfë later that year, then AftërLyfe in 2023, 2093 in 2024 and Lyfestyle in 2024. From project to project Yeat moved toward colder, more synthetic tracks while keeping a choppy and highly melodic delivery. Present on the American rap stages of his generation, Yeat also appears alongside Drake on “IDGAF” in 2023.
