sosocamo

Born and raised in a rural area of North Carolina, in an environment shaped by gospel and church choir, sosocamo became interested early in home recording and the Southern rap his parents listened to. As a teenager he posted self‑recorded tracks online, initially centered on singing before gradually adding rap, while learning to perform and to record people close to him. Influenced by Future, Young Thug, Kendrick Lamar and the pop of Justin Bieber, he developed a melodic approach that blends Southern trap, pop sensibility and the codes of the online underground rap scene. After several singles he consolidated this work with the EP Screens (2023) and the album No Service (2024), largely created in the family basement following an initial distribution deal with Broke Records. This first full‑length establishes a universe focused on rural isolation, a wide emotional palette and a measured use of autotune, allowing him to expand his audience through regular releases, occasional shows and a first US headlining tour. Surrounded by his executive producer Grayto and producers such as Synthetic, Taz Taylor and Rio Leyva, sosocamo announced the project Big Country for 2026, presented as a more energetic and versatile evolution of his melodic rap, accompanied by expanding live activity including a world tour and festival appearances.
