Offset

Born in Lawrenceville, Georgia, in the Atlanta metropolitan area, Offset has developed since the late 2000s a rap style rooted in Southern hip‑hop and Atlanta trap, characterized by dense lyricism, syncopated placements and a burst‑like flow. He first became known as part of Migos, the trio formed in 2008 with Quavo and Takeoff, whose rise accelerated with the single “Versace” in 2013 and continued with the albums Yung Rich Nation (2015), Culture (2017), Culture II (2018) and Culture III (2021). Within the group, Offset occupies a central position in an aesthetic built on ad‑libs, chopped rhythms and variations in delivery. At the same time he has pursued a solo career, which began to take shape with Without Warning (2017), a joint project with 21 Savage and Metro Boomin, followed by Father of 4 (2019), his first solo album, and Set It Off (2023). This trajectory places Offset in an American rap tradition that is both melodic and percussive, balancing club formats, dark productions and frequent collaborations with major figures of the contemporary hip‑hop scene.
