The Hunna

Trained in Watford, in Hertfordshire, The Hunna brings together Ryan Potter, Daniel Dorney, Junate Angin and Jack Metcalfe around a British rock sound that crosses indie rock, alternative rock and pop rock. The band emerged in 2015 with the single "Bonfire," followed quickly by "We Could Be" and a notable presence on the British festival circuit, from Reading and Leeds to Dot to Dot, while also appearing on BBC Introducing's stage. The Hunna then develops a direct songwriting style, centered on expansive choruses, nervy guitars and a clean production that links festival rock with more melodic formats. Their debut album, 100, appeared in 2016, followed by Dare in 2018, at a time when the band was touring the UK, Europe, the United States and Australia. After a transitional period related to their label, The Hunna evolved their sound toward a denser and more front-facing formula on I'd Rather Die Than Let You In in 2020, with occasional collaborations by Travis Barker and Josh Dun. A self-titled album, The Hunna, followed in 2022. Across these records, The Hunna maintains an energetic rock base while integrating contemporary pop accents and a darker sensibility in the arrangements as in the lyrics.
