Vistas
Formed in Edinburgh around Prentice Robertson, Dylan Rush and Jamie Law, Vistas has since 2016 developed a direct and melodic Scottish indie rock, situated between alternative pop, nervy guitars and tightly wound choruses. The trio first drew attention with the singles 'Sign Language' and then 'Retrospect', before releasing the Hello EP in 2019, which laid the foundations of their writing: fast tempos, clear vocal lines and bright production while staying in a rock register. Vistas then released their first album, Everything Changes in the End, in 2020, followed by What Were You Hoping To Find? in 2021, where the band maintains that live-stage energy while slightly broadening their spectrum toward a more polished pop rock. After several new tracks released in 2022, Vistas gathered this phase on the EP The Beautiful Nothing in 2023, then continued the same year with the album Is This All We Are?, marked by a more introspective approach but still driven by short, tense and melodic songs. Used to the circuit of British venues and festivals, Vistas fits into an accessible and rhythmic indie rock lineage, with writing centered on efficiency, everyday emotions and a trio dynamic that remains at the heart of the project.
