Matt Sassari

Born in Marseille in 1992 as Matthieu Piacentile, Matt Sassari developed his career as a DJ and producer in the early 2010s, releasing his first tracks in 2012. His music sits between techno, tech house and house, in a direct, functional register where dry rhythms, punchy basslines and vocal loops play a central role. Over the years, Matt Sassari has released on labels such as CR2, Truesoul, Terminal M, Intec and Relief, honing a club-oriented aesthetic focused on short formats and the efficiency of the groove. The track 'Fired Up' (2016) helped broaden his visibility, after which he followed with collaborations and remixes, notably involving Green Velvet, Adam Beyer, Dubfire and Patrik Berg. His trajectory has also taken him to international stages and festivals such as Awakenings in the Netherlands, Wonderland Festival in Thailand, We Are Techno in Uruguay and Terraza in Greece, while in 2019 he became a resident at Tanzhaus West in Frankfurt. In 2021 Matt Sassari released an official adaptation of 'Give It to Me,' originally popularized by Timbaland, Justin Timberlake and Nelly Furtado, and continued with tracks like 'The Voodoo Babe' with CHRSTPHR, 'Dance or Die' with Green Velvet and 'El Sueño' with Hugel and Cumbiafrica.
