Lorna Shore

Formed in 2009 in New Jersey, USA, Lorna Shore entered the American deathcore scene while progressively emphasizing symphonic and black metal elements in their writing. Initially noticed through a string of EPs — from Triumph in 2010 to Maleficium in 2013 — the band honed a dense sound characterized by rapid blasts, massive breakdowns and melodic orchestration. Lorna Shore released their debut album, Psalms, in 2015, followed by Flesh Coffin in 2017, which confirmed a darker, more technical direction. Immortal, released in 2020, consolidated the band’s place on the international metal circuit despite recurring lineup changes, particularly on vocals. The arrival of Will Ramos in the early 2020s — first on the EP …And I Return to Nothingness (2021) and later on the album Pain Remains (2022) — coincided with longer, more narrative compositions in which the orchestral dimension plays a central role. Touring regularly across the United States and Europe, Lorna Shore today belongs to a modern, highly cinematic deathcore aesthetic that blends extreme vocals, neo‑classical harmonies and black‑metal‑tinged atmospheres while remaining rooted in the direct energy of contemporary extreme metal.
