Immortal Disfigurement

Emerging in the United States in 2022, Immortal Disfigurement is built around vocalist CJ McCreery, whose career is already linked to the deathcore scene through Signs of the Swarm and later Lorna Shore. The band cultivates an aesthetic that blends contemporary deathcore, symphonic orchestration and dark atmospheres inherited from black metal, with compositions based on dense riffs, brutal surges, very heavy passages and vocal work mixing deep growls and higher screams. Immortal Disfigurement first surfaced via a series of singles released in 2023, before the album King was issued in 2024. In this vein, the band sits within a strand of American extreme metal where the pursuit of sonic breadth goes hand in hand with highly rhythmic writing designed to alternate tension, impact and more theatrical atmospheres, while remaining within the framework of modern, frontal deathcore.
