Neck Deep

Born out of Wrexham's rock scene in Wales, Neck Deep emerged in the 2010s pop‑punk revival around singer Ben Barlow and guitarist Lloyd Roberts, soon joined by Matt West, Dani Washington and Fil Thorpe‑Evans. The band first released tracks online, leading to the EPs "Rain in July" (2012) and "A History of Bad Decisions" (2013), before making the jump to full‑length with "Wishful Thinking" in 2014. Neck Deep honed a melodic, driving and direct pop‑punk sound marked by fast guitars, sing‑along choruses and lyrics focused on adolescence, relationships and anxiety, adopting a more introspective and socially aware stance on "Life's Not Out to Get You" (2015) and "The Peace and the Panic" (2017). Between tours across the UK, Europe, the US and Australia and festival appearances such as the Warped Tour, the band consolidated that aesthetic on "All Distortions Are Intentional" (2020) before returning to a tighter formula on the self‑titled album "Neck Deep" (2024), now centered on Ben Barlow, Matt West, Sam Bowden and Dani Washington.
