Olivia Dean
From northeast London, British singer-songwriter Olivia Dean crafts a soulful, pop-inflected world driven by intimate, direct writing. A BRIT School alumna, she began her professional career in the late 2010s collaborating with Rudimental, an experience that quickly brought her to the stage and embedded her in the landscape of contemporary British music. Her solo path took shape with the EP "Ok Love You Bye" in 2019, followed by "What Am I Gonna Do On Sundays?" in 2020 and "Growth" in 2021, where Dean refined a blend of contemporary soul, melodic pop, and R&B touches, often arranged with organic, live-leaning instrumentation. Her lyrics, focused on relationships, self-worth, and everyday moments, remain central to her artistic identity. Her debut album, "Messy," released in 2023, extends this approach with songs built around her warm voice, understated backing vocals, and moderate tempos that evoke both classic soul and modern pop. On stage, Olivia Dean alternates between stripped-down lineups and a full band, moving through clubs, mid-sized venues, and festivals across the UK and Europe, reinforcing a practice centered on live performance and a direct connection with audiences.
