Harry Styles

Born in Redditch in 1994 and raised in Holmes Chapel, England, Harry Styles first came to attention as a member of One Direction, formed in 2010 on the UK show The X Factor, before launching a solo career from 2016. The British singer-songwriter established with his 2017 album Harry Styles a pop-rock register shaped by classic rock and folk influences, driven by guitar-led ballads and melodic songwriting. With Fine Line (2019) he broadened this ground toward more psychedelic-tinged pop and bright soft rock, incorporating soul rhythms, dense vocal harmonies and tracks conceived for the stage. The 2022 album Harry’s House pushed him further toward contemporary pop with touches of R&B, funk and synth-pop, marked by a particular focus on vocal performance and arrangements. His international tours, including Live On Tour and Love On Tour, have placed him on major arena and stadium stages with a setlist that alternates intimate numbers and more danceable songs, and with regular collaborations with writers and producers such as Kid Harpoon and Tyler Johnson. Alongside his musical work, Harry Styles has also appeared in films, helping to anchor his image within a cultural landscape that extends beyond British pop alone.
