Black Star Riders
Born in 2012 as an outgrowth of Thin Lizzy's on-stage reformation, Black Star Riders took shape when Scott Gorham, Ricky Warwick, Damon Johnson, Marco Mendoza and Jimmy DeGrasso decided to record new material under a different name out of respect for Phil Lynott's legacy. Fronted by Northern Irish singer Ricky Warwick, Black Star Riders developed a melodic hard rock rooted in classic rock, featuring twin-guitar interplay, straightforward choruses and songwriting that links 1970s British rock with a more American approach to heavy rock. The debut album All Hell Breaks Loose was released in 2013, followed by The Killer Instinct (2015), Heavy Fire (2017), Another State of Grace (2019) and Wrong Side of Paradise (2023). Throughout their career the band has toured regularly across Europe, the United States and Japan, both in venues and at festivals, while undergoing several line‑up changes around Warwick. After the departures of Marco Mendoza, Damon Johnson and later Scott Gorham, Black Star Riders continued as a tighter unit, later joined by guitarist Sam Wood.
