Bonafide

Born in Malmö around Pontus Snibb in 2006 and active since 2007, Bonafide belongs to a hard rock and classic rock lineage nourished by blues rock, with a marked taste for direct riffs, restrained refrains and a trio or live-band energy forged on the road. After a self-titled debut album released in 2007, the Swedish band goes on tours in Scandinavia and then Europe, often as a support act for Deep Purple, Nazareth, The Quireboys, Status Quo or Black Star Riders. Bonafide's trajectory then passes through several lineup changes, while Pontus Snibb remains the core of the project, notably joined by Martin Ekelund on bass from 2011, then Anders Rosell, who arrived in 2014. The discography follows this evolution with Something’s Dripping (2009), Ultimate Rebel (2012), Bombo (2013), Denim Devils (2015), Flames (2017), the live album Live at KB (2019) and Are You Listening? (2023), produced by Chips Kiesbye. Bonafide also signed in 2011 the EP Fill Your Head With Rock – Old, New, Tried & True. In 2026, after the departure of drummer Niklas Matsson, Bonafide returns to a power trio format, Rosell moving to drums while Pontus Snibb takes back the guitar alone, a new chapter that extends the band's live-based roots and the dry, bluesy, no-nonsense sound of the Swedish group.
