Junkyard Drive
Formed in the mid-2010s in Denmark, Junkyard Drive plays hard rock heavily shaped by 1970s and 1980s classic rock, featuring melodic guitars, gritty yet catchy vocals, and a rhythm section geared toward stage efficiency. After a first EP in 2015, the band signed with Danish label Mighty Music and released its first full-length album, “Sin & Tonic,” in 2017, establishing Junkyard Drive on the Scandinavian hard rock scene. The follow-up “Black Coffee” (2018) deepened the mix of blues-rock-inspired riffs and live-ready choruses, while “Electric Love” (2020) moved the songwriting toward a bigger, more modern sound without abandoning the group’s classic aesthetic. Operating as a two-guitar hard rock collective, Junkyard Drive relies on direct song structures, melodic solos and a clear taste for mid-tempo rock anthems as well as faster numbers. Active on club and festival stages across Northern Europe, the band centers its identity on energetic hard rock rooted in tradition but tinged with contemporary influences, with lyrics that range from life on the road to personal themes and nods to rock’s historical vocabulary.
