MORTEN

In Aarhus, Denmark, MORTEN started out behind club decks before turning to electronic music production, drawing on electro house, progressive house and big room. Active since the mid-2000s, he first made a name on the Danish scene and then across Europe, before relocating to Los Angeles to pursue a more international career. His debut album, "Drop!" (2010), marked a step from local DJ to recognized EDM producer, featuring a sound focused on direct melodic lines and arrangements built for large stages. Throughout the 2010s he released numerous singles and remixes on club-oriented labels and collaborated with other producers. From the end of the decade, his joint productions with David Guetta helped define a register often called future rave, combining big-room energy with darker atmospheres and trance echoes. Present on festival stages as well as in clubs, MORTEN continues a singles-focused career, maintaining close ties to mainstream EDM currents while gradually refining his sonic signature.
