Madeon

Born in Nantes in 1994, Hugo Pierre Leclercq creates electronic music under the name Madeon, blending French house, electro house, nu‑disco and melodic pop. Madeon began producing at a very young age and gained international attention in 2011 with the video “Pop Culture”, a fast‑paced mashup of dozens of song fragments that circulated widely online. After early tracks like “Icarus”, he released the EP The City in 2012 and gradually refined a more structured sound—dense, luminous and strongly focused on vocal lines. His debut album Adventure appeared in 2015, followed by Good Faith in 2019, on which Madeon moved his songwriting toward a more pop‑oriented, organic electronic style carried by his own vocals. Alongside his solo releases, he collaborated with Porter Robinson on “Shelter” in 2016 and contributed to productions or co‑writing for Lady Gaga, Ellie Goulding, Coldplay and Two Door Cinema Club. From early Parisian venues to major electronic festivals in Europe and North America, Madeon has built a career marked by live performance, with sets and stage productions that extend the visual and musical world of his records.
