San Holo

Under the name San Holo, Dutch musician Sander van Dijck has been developing electronic music since the mid-2010s at the intersection of future bass, indietronica and alternative pop, placing strong emphasis on melodies, airy textures and guitar. Born in Zoetermeer in the Netherlands, San Holo first attracted attention online with productions and remixes released on SoundCloud, before broadening his audience with tracks like «We Rise» in 2015. That same year he launched bitbird, an independent structure conceived as both a label and a platform for artists aligned with his aesthetic. His trajectory gradually moved away from the most overt EDM formats to incorporate more singing, pop songwriting and elements borrowed from indie rock. This evolution is audible on album1 (2018), bb u ok? (2021) and Existential Dance Music (2022). Onstage, San Holo alternates between DJ sets and more hybrid performances, where festival energy meets a more introspective approach. He thus belongs to a generation of electronic producers who moved from the internet to major international stages without losing a personal songwriting voice.
