Kaskade

Born in Chicago as Ryan Raddon and passing through the Salt Lake City scene before settling in San Francisco, Kaskade has developed since the mid-1990s a career tied to American house, spanning deep house, progressive house, melodic electro house and more downtempo formats. He emerged in the early 2000s around the Om Records label, where he honed a sound built on supple rhythms, bright synth lines and a prominent role for vocals. His solo discography ranges from It’s You, It’s Me (2003) to In the Moment (2004), Love Mysterious (2006), Strobelite Seduction (2008), Dynasty (2010), Fire & Ice (2011), Atmosphere (2013) and Automatic (2015), showing a gradual shift from a relatively understated house toward a broader writing conceived for both clubs and large electronic stages. Kaskade has also produced numerous remixes and collaborations, notably with deadmau5 on “I Remember” and “Move for Me”, before forming the Kx5 project with him; their album Kx5 was released in 2023. Alongside his club and festival tours and the more house-centred Redux sets, Kaskade released Kaskade Christmas in 2017 and Kaskade Christmas II in 2023.
