Said the Sky

Based in Denver, Colorado, American producer and multi-instrumentalist Trevor Christensen shapes, under the moniker Said the Sky, a sound that sits between future bass, melodic dubstep and electronic pop. Introduced to music from childhood, he came to prominence in the mid-2010s with a series of tracks and collaborations that fit within the melodic wave of North American EDM, notably alongside Illenium, Seven Lions and Dabin. His approach centers on the piano, pop-tinged harmonies and electronic buildups built around prominent vocal lines, anchoring Said the Sky in an emotional yet accessible register. The debut album, Wide-Eyed (2018), gathers this synthesis between electronic ballads and more stage-oriented tracks, while Sentiment (2022) opens his songwriting to alternative rock and emo influences by incorporating guitars and band-like structures.
