Anne Sila
Born in Valence, in the Drôme, in 1990, Anne Sila developed early on as a well-rounded musician, trained in her hometown conservatory in voice, cello and piano. Her world spans French chanson, pop, jazz and soul, characterized by vocal precision, often acoustic arrangements and a restrained melodic writing. Before gaining wider exposure she performed in the Rhône-Alpes region, took part in several stage projects and founded the jazz quartet Magnetic Orchestra. In the early 2010s she moved to New York after meeting double-bassist François Moutin, immersed herself in the local jazz scene and played with artists such as Ari Hoenig, Mike Stern and Lew Soloff. She reached broader national visibility in 2015 with The Voice final, and again in 2021 when she won the All Stars edition. Her solo discography includes the EP Anne Sila and the album Amazing Problem (2016), followed by Fruit défendu (2019), À nos cœurs (2021) and Madeleines (2022). At the same time she has pursued many collaborations, sung with Florent Pagny and Matt Simons, joined the troupe Les Enfoirés and lent her voice to the character Nala in the French version of The Lion King.
