David Hallyday
David Hallyday has built over thirty years a singular path in francophone pop-rock, marked from childhood by an extraordinary artistic heritage as the son of Johnny Hallyday and Sylvie Vartan. Very early drawn to composing and drumming, he forged his own musical identity between refined pop and melodic rock. Revealed with True Cool and then with the albums Rock’n’Heart and On the Road, he later wrote several songs that became staples, such as Tu ne m’as pas laissé le temps, Pour toi and Le temps d’une vie. A complete singer-songwriter, also requested to write for others, he developed over the years an increasingly introspective writing style and an ever more personal production. Navigating between heritage, a quest for freedom and a sense for intimate storytelling, David Hallyday asserts himself as a lasting voice on the French scene, faithful to a musical vision in constant evolution.
