Julie Zenatti

Born in Paris in 1981, Julie Zenatti made her mark on the French pop and chanson scene at the turn of the 2000s after being brought to public attention by her role as Fleur-de-Lys in the musical Notre-Dame de Paris, in which she appeared for several seasons from 1998. Raised in a family with Mediterranean influences, she developed a repertoire where pop ballads, intimate chanson and more variety-oriented formats coexist, with a strong emphasis on lyrics and vocal melodies. Her solo career began with the album Fragile in 2000, followed by Dans les yeux d’un autre (2002) and Comme vous… (2004), which gradually established her name across the francophone music landscape. She continued with La boîte de Pandore (2007), Plus de diva (2010) and Blanc (2013), where more personal songwriting came to the fore, before exploring a more direct, pop-leaning sound on Revenons à nos moutons (2015). In 2017 she initiated the collective project Méditerranéennes, featuring covers and duets inspired by the cultures around the Mediterranean, and confirmed her move toward accessible pop with Tout est plus pop in 2020. Between tours, collaborations with other francophone artists and regular participation in collective projects, Julie Zenatti has built a career that sits between singer-songwriter repertoire, variety music and the legacy of major francophone musicals.
