Bob Moses

Under the name Bob Moses, the Canadian duo of Tom Howie and Jimmy Vallance has, since the early 2010s, developed music at the crossroads of house, electronic pop, and indie rock. Hailing from Vancouver but based in New York at the time of their debut, Bob Moses emerged on the city's club scene with the EPs "Hands to Hold" (2012) and "Far from the Tree" (2013), released by the Scissor & Thread label. Later signed to Domino, Bob Moses refined a song-driven format built around voice and guitar, carried by slow grooves, understated electronic layers, and a marked attention to nocturnal atmospheres. Their first album, "Days Gone By," arrived in 2015, followed by "Battle Lines" in 2018, which extended this writing that bridges club culture and indie aesthetics. In 2020, the project "Desire," including a track with Zhu, explored a vein more directly aimed at the dancefloor, while "The Silence in Between" appeared in 2022. On stage, Bob Moses alternates between club-oriented sets and live configurations closer to a band concert, moving between clubs, concert halls, and international festivals.
