On August 3, 2026, Elderbrook puts his machines and his voice on stage at Commonwealth in Calgary, for a date that straddles the line between a concert and a club night. Behind the name lies Alexander Kotz, a Londoner who moved from indie-folk to a more direct electronic sound in the mid-2010s, never losing his taste for well-crafted songs.
Both his live sets and his tracks play with this balance: a voice very much at the center, rhythms that grab quickly, and a sound somewhere between melodic house, UK garage, soft techno, and electronic pop. He first came to prominence with his early EPs and was propelled onto the international scene thanks to Cola with CamelPhat. Since then, Elderbrook has built a career on collaborations and hybrid formats, from Rudimental to Bob Moses or Diplo.
On stage, he weaves soulful lines, rounded bass tones and airy textures, with a knack for a chorus that keeps the dancefloor moving without forgetting the emotion. A good opportunity to catch him in a setting tailored to his progressive builds and controlled drops.
