Info
On June 6, 2026, the Mélo Festival sets up at Plaza Repentigny in Repentigny for an evening featuring Elderbrook, EKKSTACY and Les Louanges.
Elderbrook, aka Alexander Kotz, initially moved between indie and folk before embracing electronic music. From his early EPs through Another Touch (2024), he has refined a blend of melodic house, UK garage and pop. His collaboration “Cola” with CamelPhat opened him to an international audience, while his work with Gorgon City, Rudimental, Bob Moses and Diplo has anchored his vocal writing at the heart of the club scene. On stage he juxtaposes soulful vocal lines, danceable rhythms and airy textures.
EKKSTACY comes from Vancouver with a sound at the crossroads of post-punk, indie rock and new wave, nourished by lyrics drawn from melodic rap. After the EP Negative (2021) and I Walk This Earth All by Myself, he followed with Misery (2022) and then Ekkstacy (2024), which features Trippie Redd and The Kid Laroi, before Forever (2025). Prominent guitars, dark basslines and short choruses create a tension between punk edge and pop melancholy.
Les Louanges, a Quebec project led by multi-instrumentalist Vincent Roberge, delivers songs that glide between pop and electronic music, with a supple voice and a keen attention to detail in the arrangements.
