DJ Tennis

Originally from Parma, Italy, Manfredi Romano developed the DJ Tennis project after a long trajectory in the independent rock and electronic scenes, where he worked as a concert promoter, manager and booker. Active as a DJ and producer, he founded the label Life and Death in 2010, which became the main platform for an aesthetic positioned between house, techno and indie influences. His productions and sets favor relatively moderate tempos, blending elements of disco, psychedelic pop and post-rock with an electronic approach focused on textures, shifts of mood and melodic ideas. Alongside his musical activities, he has a marked interest in cooking, collecting vinyl and bicycles, which informs a very personal take on club culture. His tours regularly bring him to institutions such as Fabric in London and Panorama Bar in Berlin, as well as to stages at international festivals including Time Warp and Coachella. In 2017 he contributed to the DJ-Kicks series on the !K7 label with a compilation that synthesizes part of his sonic affinities.
