Blind Channel

Formed in Oulu, in northern Finland, Blind Channel has developed since 2013 around a band format in which two vocal parts intersect, with guitar, bass, drums and electronic textures. The Finnish quintet, long led by Niko Moilanen and Joel Hokka on vocals, blends nu metal, alternative rock, rap rock and choruses close to pop, with straightforward writing, punchy rhythms and a production conceived for both live impact and the studio format. Blind Channel set its first markers with Revolutions in 2016, then Blood Brothers in 2018 and Violent Pop in 2020, a track that fairly well sums up this approach of merging metal energy, very front-facing melodies and electronic elements. The band gained wider visibility in 2021 with Dark Side, chosen to represent Finland at Eurovision, before continuing this phase of international exposure with Lifestyles of the Sick & Dangerous in 2022 and Exit Emotions in 2024. Blind Channel has toured on European rock and metal stages as well as in more mainstream contexts, while maintaining a compact, nerve-driven and accessible aesthetic without abandoning the nu metal heritage of the 2000s. After announcing a hiatus in 2024 and Joel Hokka's departure in 2025, Blind Channel resumes activity in 2026 as a quintet.
