GHØSTKID
Launched in 2020 in Gelsenkirchen by Sebastian « Sushi » Biesler after his departure from Eskimo Callboy, GHØSTKID has built itself around a modern metal that crosses metalcore, post-hardcore, alternative rock and industrial touches, with a songwriting focus on the opposition between melodic choruses and harsher passages. The project, led by Biesler on vocals, quickly took the form of a live band and established itself in European metal and alternative music circuits. GHØSTKID released its first self-titled album Ghostkid in 2020, followed by Hollywood Suicide in 2024, two records that extend a dark and nervous aesthetic, also nourished by nu metal elements and a sensibility close to the crossover of contemporary rock. Among the documented collaborations are Marcus Bischoff on Supernova, Mille Petrozza on Crown, Johnny 3 Tears on a version of This Is Not Hollywood and Timi Hendrix on his German version. GHØSTKID has since headlined concerts and then served as an opening act, notably during Blind Channel’s European tour in 2024, confirming a regular presence on metalcore, alternative metal stages and at rock festivals in Germany and beyond.
