Haute & Freddy
Born from the collaboration between composer-singer Michelle Buzz and writer Lance Shipp, Haute & Freddy is a pop project built around direct, melodic songwriting and a highly visual imagination. With their debut single “Scantily Clad,” the duo made a mark on the independent pop scene and established the foundations of their aesthetic, midway between electronic songcraft, club culture and narrative sensibility. Haute & Freddy followed with “Shy Girl,” a track featured in several film and TV soundtracks, and then “Dance The Pain Away,” which extended their vein of pop tinged with dance references and contrasting electronic arrangements. Their work is grounded in a strong taste for theatre, characters and a reworked medieval iconography, visible in both their videos and live shows, where audiences sometimes attend dressed as clowns, mimes or jesters. Alongside these singles, Haute & Freddy are preparing a debut album titled “Big Disgrace,” announced on Atlantic Records, which will bring together this hybrid approach to pop songwriting, club energy and a coherent narrative universe.
