Rebecca Black

Born in Irvine, California, Rebecca Black first emerged in the public space in 2011 with 'Friday', a pop single that became a viral phenomenon as well as a target of online controversy, an episode that permanently marked her career. After this early exposure, Rebecca Black pursued her career independently with several singles and then the track 'Saturday' in 2013 with Dave Days, before initiating a clearer repositioning toward electronic pop, danceable and more assertive. Her first EP, RE / BL, appeared in 2017, followed by Rebecca Black Was Here in 2021, where her writing approaches a tense synthpop tinged with hyperpop and club accents. The renegotiation of her image and sound also passes through collaborations with artists from experimental pop and internet scenes, such as Dorian Electra, Slayyyter, umru or Dylan Brady for the remix of 'Friday' in 2021. On stage, Rebecca Black evolves between pop concerts, festivals and formats more linked to club culture, a facet she also develops as a DJ. Her first album Let Her Burn, released in 2023, confirms this evolution with a darker, more nervous and frontal electropop aesthetic. Rebecca Black then continued this trajectory with the EP Salvation in 2025, while appearing in contexts of pop tours as well as on stages associated with electronic music.
