Chris Lorenzo

Born in Birmingham in 1988, Chris Lorenzo was shaped by the British club scenes before establishing a sound that sits between house, bass house, UK garage and the rougher lines inherited from the English underground. He emerged in the early 2010s with a series of productions and collaborations that brought him into contact with artists such as Hannah Wants, and later broadened his palette with tracks alongside Katy B, DJ Zinc, Chris Lake, AC Slater and High Jinx. His work alternates very direct club formats, sleeker house grooves and more pronounced bass textures, with writing conceived for the dancefloor without being confined to a single aesthetic. Lorenzo has also developed duo projects — Anti Up with Chris Lake and Fly With Us with AC Slater — which continue this exchange between American house and UK DNA. On the long-form side, his discography includes Destroy the Image (2016) and Late Checkout (2019). Over the years, Chris Lorenzo has thus built a transatlantic trajectory, from the British scene to the international circuits of electronic music.
