Joshwa

Originally from the UK, Joshwa first emerged on the British house scene before splitting his activities between London, where he was long based, and New York. A self-taught DJ and producer, he crafts a sound that sits between underground house and tech house, characterized by pronounced basslines, direct grooves and frequent use of short vocal hooks that anchor his tracks in a clear club aesthetic. His trajectory was solidified through releases on labels such as Hot Creations, Repopulate Mars and Spinnin’ Deep, which established him in the club and festival circuit in the UK and beyond. In 2022 he released "My Humps" with Lee Foss, a house reworking of a pop hook widely recognized on dancefloors. The 2023 EP "Bass Go Boom" on Hot Creations confirmed this direction with a more upfront approach, extended by the track "Supersonic." Between club-calibrated productions and DJ sets focused on rhythmic efficacy, Joshwa is part of a generation of British producers who move house between the local scene and the global network.
