Fcukers
Fcukers is an electronic project born in New York in 2022. It brings together singer Shanny Wise and bassist/producer Jackson Walker Lewis, originally joined by drummer Ben Scharf. Coming from the indie rock scene with Spud Cannon, Lewis sought a more overtly electronic direction with Fcukers, while Shanny Wise, formerly the frontwoman of The Shacks, shifted her vocals toward house, beats and club‑oriented formats. The duo began experimenting with house instrumentals at the end of 2022, leading to a first show at Baby’s All Right in March 2023 and the debut single “Mothers” later that year. Fcukers then refined a hybrid sound that links the live energy of a band with bass‑centred electronic songwriting, exemplified by the EP Baggy$$ (2024) on Technicolour Records, a Ninja Tune sublabel, featuring “Bon Bon”, “Homie Don’t Shake” and “Tommy”. They also recorded a remix of “Los Angeles” by Lol Tolhurst, Budgie and Jacknife Lee with James Murphy, reworked “Marmite” by Porij, and expanded to international stages including Rencontres Trans Musicales. In 2025 Fcukers supported Tame Impala on the Deadbeat Tour while preparing their debut album Ö, announced for 2026 on Ninja Tune.
