Adult DVD

Based in Leeds, Adult DVD brings together six musicians around a sound that crosses danceable indie rock, post-punk, electronic grooves and nods to 1990s acid house. Adult DVD first made its name on the live scene, with appearances at festivals such as Glastonbury, End of the Road and Green Man, before shaping its discography with the EP Next Day Shipping in 2024. Their music pairs taut rhythmic lines and direct choruses with songwriting that allows for a subtle sense of humour, while retaining a very physical energy. In 2025 Adult DVD released the single Because I Like It, then opened 2026 with Real Tree Lee, a track recorded and produced by the band at Nave Studios in Leeds as they joined Fat Possum Records. In this still recent trajectory, Adult DVD is developing an identity located between British club culture and the guitar heritage of northern England, with a sound intended as much for live performance as for listening.
