Bathing Suits

Bathing Suits formed in the United Kingdom around a quartet that fuses post-punk energy, noise textures, and a direct club-music approach. The band develops a tense sound, built on abrasive guitars, techno-like rhythmic lines, and a live-oriented writing, with Freyja Blevins on vocals and the drum machine on stage. Bathing Suits sits in a scene where experimental rock meets dance music, with affinities often noted with acts such as Model/Actriz or Psychotic Monks, while still favoring more direct structures and choruses that also draw on a certain 2010s pop. Their debut EP, KILL BATHING SUITS, is set for release in 2025 on Underplay Recordings. Recorded and produced by Benny Howell, aka DJ Subaru, between Leeds and Berlin, this five-track record lays the foundations of their aesthetic: long tension-building crescendos, techno pulsation, persistent bass, saturation, and vocals that are both dry and physical.
