Info
On October 22, 2027, Limelight in Belfast hosts The Fratellis for a set built on the punchy, melodic indie rock that put them on the map. Born in Glasgow in the mid-2000s, the trio (Jon, Baz and Mince Fratelli) moves fast: sharp guitars, tight rhythm, choruses that stick, with a clear line to British rock’s 60s and 70s nerve. Expect the show to lean on the band’s early calling cards from Costello Music, including tracks like “Chelsea Dagger” and “Whistle for the Choir”, while leaving room for the later records that widened their palette into warmer, sometimes more soulful and orchestral colors without losing that direct, pop-leaning efficiency.
Opening the night, Trampolene bring their Swansea-bred mix of indie rock, alternative crunch and spoken-word edge. Led by singer and poet Jack Jones alongside Wayne Thomas and Kyle Williams, they play with contrasts: taut electric bursts, more stripped-back moments, and lyrics that land like short stories. Their 2017 debut Swansea to Hornsey set the tone for a live approach that’s both energetic and sharply narrative.
