Info
Paula Cole brings her singer-songwriter craft to Cottiers Theatre in Glasgow on February 26, 2027, for a set that moves easily between pop instinct, folk-rock grit and jazz-tinged phrasing. First known beyond the US as a vocalist on Peter Gabriel’s Secret World Tour, she quickly stepped into her own spotlight with the self-produced album This Fire, home to songs that made her a defining voice of the 1990s alternative pop landscape.
On stage, Cole’s music thrives on contrast: close, acoustic passages where the lyrics land with clarity, then fuller arrangements that lean into her taste for dynamic shifts. Over the years she’s expanded the palette, from socially aware writing to records that reconnect with American musical roots, all while keeping that balance between direct melody and adventurous harmony. Expect a show that digs into key chapters of her catalogue, with room for newer material from her independent run as well.
