On February 12, 2027, Heather Nova returns to Paris for a concert at Café de la Danse that should highlight what she does most directly: songs that straddle folk, alternative rock, and a pared-down pop, guided by a voice that is both gentle and restrained. Since her beginnings in the 1990s, she has built a repertoire where arrangements are often spare, with a real attention to acoustic textures and to dynamics, between intimacy and rising intensity. From Glow Stars and Oyster, which established her on the rock and folk stages of the decade, to Siren, and then a steady discography that alternates more electric formats with a stripped-down approach, Heather Nova has plenty of material to draw on. This Paris stop offers the chance to reconnect with those heart-on-sleeve songs, but also to hear her more recent writing, from Other Shores to Breath and Air, in a setting that perfectly suits her sense of detail.
