Beth Hart

Born in Los Angeles in 1972, American singer-songwriter Beth Hart belongs to a blues-rock tradition enriched by soul, jazz and gospel. First noticed on the California club scene in the early 1990s, Hart released Immortal with the Beth Hart Band in 1996 and confirmed her personal songwriting voice with Screamin' for My Supper in 1999. Her career then coalesced around piano-centered albums such as Leave the Light On (2003), 37 Days (2007) and My California (2010), which established a world combining introspective ballads and more rock-oriented tracks. From the 2010s onward, she frequently collaborated with guitarist Joe Bonamassa on soul and blues cover albums — Don't Explain (2011), Seesaw (2013) and Black Coffee (2018) — while continuing her solo output with Bang Bang Boom Boom (2012), Better Than Home (2015), Fire on the Floor (2016), War in My Mind (2019) and A Tribute to Led Zeppelin (2022). Her music rests on an expressive, often gritty voice, a direct melodic sense and lyrics that confront vulnerability, relationships and intimate faults, supported by a steady stage presence on rock and blues circuits in Europe and North America.
