DMA’S head to O2 City Hall Newcastle on 8 February 2027, bringing the sharp, guitar-first indie that made their name and the broader textures they’ve explored in recent years. Formed in Sydney in 2012, the trio of Tommy O’Dell (vocals), Matt Mason and Johnny Took (guitars) broke through with Delete and a debut EP before laying out a clear line between bright britpop influences and lean alternative rock. Hills End (2016) and For Now (2018) tightened the hooks; The Glow (2020) opened the door to punchier, more electronic-tinged momentum; How Many Dreams? (2023) folds that evolution back into their melodic core.

On stage, DMA’S balance clarity and drive: ringing guitars, close harmonies and choruses built to travel. Expect a set that moves from early cuts to newer material, with space for the anthemic sway and the more propulsive side they’ve grown into. Their live history across Australia and the UK has sharpened the edges without sanding down the songs, and their much-shared take on Believe hints at how the band reworks reference points without losing their own voice.
