Info
On Friday 7 May 2027, Arkayla bring their Manchester-bred guitar rush to Newcastle University Students’ Union. Built on layered guitars, tight rhythms and choruses that hit clean, the band sit somewhere between alternative and indie rock, with a faint dream-pop haze that keeps things floating without losing punch. Their songs lean on texture and narrative detail rather than big gestures, moving from direct, melodic hooks to more enveloping, atmospheric passages.
Onstage, Arkayla translate that balance into an energetic set: sharp, song-first delivery, but with enough space for the guitars to blur and bloom. If you’re into modern UK indie that still cares about a proper rock tune while pushing toward a wider, slightly dreamlike edge, this Newcastle date is the one to catch. Support act(s) complete the night.
