Info
On 15 December 2026 at OVO Hydro, Glasgow (Stobcross Road, G3 8YW), Culture Club, ABC and Haircut 100 share the stage for an evening tracing the sharp edges and warm grooves of early‑80s UK pop.
Culture Club thread new wave, pop, soul and reggae with Boy George at the mic, Roy Hay on guitars and keys, Mikey Craig on bass and Jon Moss on drums. From Do You Really Want to Hurt Me and Time (Clock of the Heart) to Church of the Poison Mind and Karma Chameleon, their catalogue runs from Kissing to Be Clever and Colour by Numbers through Life, with melodic writing and light reggae inflections.
ABC, led by Martin Fry, blend synth-pop, new wave and disco‑tinged orchestration. The Lexicon of Love set the tone, later echoed on The Lexicon of Love II; The Look of Love and When Smokey Sings anchor a taste for sleek hooks and crafted pop phrasing.
Formed in Beckenham, Haircut 100 push a bright, percussive pop at the crossroads of new wave, jazz‑funk and Brit funk. Clear guitars, supple bass, sax and crisp percussion shaped Pelican West. Reunited since 2023 around Nick Heyward, Les Nemes, Graham Jones and Blair Cunningham, they bring a catalogue of tight, danceable songs.
