Info
On 6 May 2026 at the Hasard Ludique (Paris 18th arrondissement), Étienne Jaumet presents a live set in which his singular trajectory is heard without detour. A saxophonist trained at the Conservatory and a sound engineer, he cut his teeth on the independent scene between pop, rock and electronic music. Today he moves along a clear line: to make hypnotic abstraction converse with instinctive groove, with a keen attention to sound and texture. One encounters echoes of EBM, a memory of film music, and a deliberately assumed way of displacing the codes of French electro.
On stage, Jaumet modulates in real time. He switches from sax to synths, layering pads, motifs and rhythmic lines to build a supple pulse—sometimes dry, always mobile. The sequences lock into place and slip out of phase, breath blends with electronics, the organic and the digital intertwine without hierarchy. The set advances by gradual shifts, between tension and release, in an open-ended writing that seeks trajectory more than effect. A moment to listen to the material transform, as close as possible to the gesture.
