Aterciopelados: La Pipa de la Paz Tour

On 25 September 2026 at La Marbrerie in Montreuil, Aterciopelados puts La Pipa de la Paz back at the center with an anniversary tour dedicated to the 1996 album. Led by Andrea Echeverri and Héctor Buitrago, the duo revisits on stage the songs that established their Spanish-language writing, balancing cutting rock, pop melodies and Latin rhythms. It’s an opportunity to dive back into a repertoire that left its mark on Spanish-language rock, rearranged with the experience gathered over three decades.

Formed in Bogotá in the early 1990s, Aterciopelados blends electric guitars with Colombian musical heritages—from cumbia and vallenato to bambuco—infused with electronic touches that broaden their sound. Their lyrics intersect urban life, ecology, identities and gender issues, a thread the group extended recently with Genes Rebeldes (2025), where the ancestral meets the contemporary. For this date, expect a back-and-forth between classics from La Pipa de la Paz and more recent songs, all carried by Andrea Echeverri’s distinctive voice and Héctor Buitrago’s inventive bass.
