Mercy Girl

Based in Glasgow, Mercy Girl took shape in 2024 around Daisy Miles, Davey Purdie, Craig Harkness and Kylie MacNaughton. The Scottish quartet operates within an electronic register where EBM, darkwave and electro‑pop intersect, delivering tense, melodic and nocturnal songs that rely as much on rhythmic drive as on more contemplative atmospheres. Mercy Girl develops a songwriting focus on love, disarray and the uncertainty of the human experience, in an aesthetic that blends club energy, dark textures and airier vocal lines. Launched in November 2024, Mercy Girl quickly found its place in dark and alternative circuits, with a first gig at the Hug and Pint in Glasgow followed by a date at the Oslo in Hackney, London alongside Justin Warfield, associated with She Wants Revenge. The single “No Sound” was also picked up by BBC 6 Music and BBC Introducing Scotland, an early marker in Mercy Girl’s trajectory.
